Every year EMS is lead by a group of its members who volunteer their time to lead the organization. EMS would not function without the dedication and hard work of these leaders. The Officers for this year consists of:

Shaun Tan
Founder, Director
Mr. Tan is a summa cum laude graduate from UCLA with a B.S. in Business and Economics. A serial entrepreneur, Mr. Tan has started and bought four separate $1,000,000+ companies. Currently Shaun is the President of Solara Engineering, an aerospace manufacturer based in the San Fernando Valley. Shaun is also the Managing Partner of Avid Capital, a buyout firm that focuses on distressed companies and opportunistic investments.

David Duel
President
Mr. Duel is a Business Administration major at USC. Growing up with his father as a doctor, there has always been considerable pressure for him to follow in his father's footsteps and enter the medical field. Yet as a child, David was always looking at the world through opportunistic eyes. David's passion for business and finding "the next big thing" has led him to pursue a variety of endeavors in an eclectic set of industries. David currently works at a financial information startup and is the CFO of the Society of Young Philanthropists. David strongly believes in the importance of giving back and hopes that his future ventures do just that.

Joseph Lei
Director of Corporate Relations
Mr. Lei is currently a fourth year Business-Economics student at UCLA. He currently represents Tierney Rides International as the Western Region Sales Manager, a unique company that produces skateboards similar to snowboards. Mr. Lei also serves as the Director of Corporate Relations for Entrepreneur Mentor Society where he seeks to build mutually beneficial relationships with corporate sponsors to help launch the Next Generation of Entrepreneurs. Mr. Lei's professional interests are in international trade/manufacturing, Financial Instruments and Mergers & Acquisitions.
