Mission and Vision

If you asked people “How would you like to be your own boss and run a successful company?” Many would respond with an enthusiastic "yes!"  But very few people end up starting and building successful companies.  Why?  The biggest challenge, beside the tremendous odds of startups failing, is that most just don’t know where to start.

The philosopher Lao-tzu said that "a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step."  However, if you don’t which direction to take the first step - or even how to walk - where do you start?  EMS provides the knowledge, resources and support to lead you towards your dreams

At the Entrepreneur Mentor Society our mission is simple:

To inspire and support entrepreneurship

We accomplish this mission by focusing on three key elements:
•    Education:  learning from successful guest speakers, workshops, and internships
•    Support:  networking, mentoring from entrepreneurs, and financial assistance
•    Community:  creating an atmosphere of like minded individuals who help each other succeed

What makes EMS different from other student entrepreneur organizations?

•   Our Scope:  EMS members represent seven major universities, and countless new and  existing  businesses
•   Our Dedication:  All members go though an application process. Only those serious about starting companies are accepted.
•   Our Diverse Network: EMS includes new and successful entrepreneurs from all walks of life.  We also partner with key business groups in Southern California to share events, resources and opportunities.
